As a stilt walker, I often get very specific requests for costumes. Most often, I am happy to oblige. I think the highlight was a last-minute zebra, created in an hour to wear that night. It looked great.
I enjoy sewing, but I am not fantastic. Basically, I am confident, and I can sew a straight line. The confidence is more important. So, I am going to try and outline the basics of how to make costumes - quickly, easily, and economically.
It's not rocket science, it's costume making.
